Product Assurance Manager

Job Description: You will be responsible for the quality assurance of an instrument. You will translate the quality and safety requirements of the customer into a specific, pragmatic approach for the project and prepare quality specifications for the subcontractors. You will train, motivate, guide and follow-up the project teams and subcontractors on all quality and safety aspects. You will ensure coherence between the product assurance approach and the technical/management approach and support the teams in achieving the determined objectives. You will perform hazard, reliability and risk analyses and ensure the follow-up implementation of the results into the design, manufacturing and test phases, together with the other engineering disciplines. You will interface directly with the customer PA representatives and provide regular reporting on quality issues. Desire skills/ experience/ knowledge: You should have a master degree in engineering or the equivalent by experience. You should be a real team player and be able to define and co-ordinate quality tasks. You should be multidisciplinary and have a good engineering understanding in complex systems. Experience with software and/or electronics is the advantage. You should have communication skills in an international context, know how to maintain the quality approach and be able to defend your point of view robustly. You should have a strong analytical mind, a wide ranging interest and a sense of accuracy. You should enjoy taking the initiative for improvements in the house quality standards. You should be result-orientated and be able to suggest and implement solutions to raised issues. You should have experience working in a relevant sector or similar function. You should be fluent in English. Requirements: excellent knowledge of the avionic and the aircraft systems (including the navigation systems), excellent knowledge of the English language, the ability to lead the subordinates, adequate working capacity, teamwork, self-reliance, sense of purpose, responsibility, communicativeness.
